Key BenefitsCarver Day Care Center is licensed by the New York State Office of Children and Family Services to provide day care services to seventy five (75) children ages 18 months to 12 years of age. The day care center is divided in to four (4) classrooms: toddlers, pre-school, pre-K and school age.
The day care center is open from 7:00 a.m. until 5:30 p.m. year ‘round. The day care center participates in the Child and Adult Care Food Program by providing the children with breakfast, lunch and snack.
Carver provides a high quality day care program that fosters a safe, cheerful and responsive learning environment. Classroom materials are carefully selected to encourage children to explore, manipulate, try out, master, create and learn in many different ways. In addition, the daycare center’s curriculum focuses on creating a multi-cultural approach to learning that encourages all children to appreciate their heritage and those of their classmates.
Carver Day Care Center maintains reasonable group sizes that allow for teachers to provide individualized attention to their children. Our teachers are well qualified and competent; they work as a team, and they are able to apply their understanding of child development and early childhood principles to their teaching. Our teachers use effective and positive communication skills to provide a consistent and congruent experience for our day care children and their parents.
Carver Day Care Center also provides referrals for evaluations for children who may need special services, such as speech therapy, occupational therapy, physical therapy and psychological services.
